The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is benefiting from the to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
